Sadly, it’s becoming apparent that we are not done with the pandemic yet. The delta variant of COVID is deeply impacting and infecting those who are not yet vaccinated, and there are an increasing number of reports of “breakthrough” infection among the vaccinated. The number of new infections here in Michigan and Washtenaw County continue to increase, and the responsible thing at this point is to pull back a bit until we have the numbers again going in the right (down) direction. So our September 13th Board/Chair meeting will go back to Zoom, and will be limited to these people. This shouldn’t last long, and we’ll hopefully have our October meeting “In-person” at the NCMS facility in Ann Arbor. But for the moment, this is the right thing to do. We will continue to plan our “outdoor” events as scheduled, so stay tuned and stand by. I know we’re all tired of this, but our safety and the safety of others has to take precedence here.
